The Numpties Are Marching for “Life” Again

We kid you not: The March for Life theme this year is "equality begins in the womb."

This weekend we’re approaching a big milestone for the abortion-loving community: the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

And with that comes an important question to consider: Will this be the last? Who’s to say! (We’re not betting on it.) It also means anti-abortion groups are once again preparing to flood the streets of Washington, D.C., for the annual March for Life. And this year’s theme is “Equality Begins in the Womb.”

Boom! Lawyered makes its return for the new year with a brand-new episode, and you better believe co-hosts Jessica Mason Pieklo and Imani Gandy have something to say about that “personhood” dogwhistle this week.

Jess and Imani also focus on Texas, breaking down the wonky legal intricacies behind the ongoing fight for abortion access in the state, as well as explaining—like truly no one else can—what’s really at stake as challenges to these laws ping-pong around the federal courts. Oh, and don’t forget about Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Mississippi case that directly spells the end of Roe v. Wade.
