Rep. Sykes has served in the Mississippi House of Representatives since her election in 2016, and is on the Interstate Cooperation, Banking and Financial Services, Drug Policy, Public Health and Human Services, Public Utilities, Technology, and Workforce Development Committees. A Community Organizer, Rep. Sykes is affiliated with the Nat’l Congress of Black Women, NAACP, MASE/CWA, SCLC, MIRA, Federation of Democratic Women, Official MS Women’s Club, Women for Progress, Working Together Jackson, Cooperation Jackson, JSU Jackson-Hinds Alumni, and MAFFAN.
