Johanna Fine
Johanna B. Fine is a Legal Fellow in the International Legal Program at the Center for Reproductive Rights. Her work at the Center focuses on tracking developments in abortion laws around the world and providing legal and technical support to the Center’s work on abortion across regions. Ms. Fine joined the Center from White & Case LLP, where she was an Associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance practice. During her time at White & Case LLP, Ms. Fine conducted extensive pro bono work for the Center, including researching and drafting the Center’s fact finding report At Risk: Rights Violations of HIV-Positive Women in Kenyan Health Facilities and preparing advocacy letters to regional human rights bodies and U.N. Special Procedures. Ms. Fine graduated from Columbia University’s School of Law and School of International and Public Affairs with a joint J.D./Master of International Affairs in 2007. During graduate school, she was actively involved in the Human Rights Clinic, and worked on women’s rights issues in Zambia and Mauritania. Her previous work experience includes The Carter Center, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Federation of Women Lawyers-Kenya. Ms. Fine received her B.A. in International Studies and French from Emory College.
