Heidi Gerbracht
Heidi Gerbracht is the Founder and Director of Equity Agenda. She is a city expert, strategist, and reproductive rights advocate with more than two decades’ experience working to develop and implement policies that improve intersectional gender equity.
She has worked in and with local governments around the country and is responsible for successful local policy reform efforts ranging from one of the first municipal regulations of so-called crisis pregnancy centers in the US way back in 2010, to paid family leave, and limiting toxic chemical exposures for pregnant people and children in cities as diverse as Columbia, SC; Salt Lake City, UT; Burlington, VT; and Anchorage, AK.
Heidi serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of URGE: Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity, and is a past Board chair of Annie’s List, a Texas organization that works to recruit, train, and elect women who support abortion rights. Heidi taught at the LBJ School of Public Affairs on the intersection of municipal government and gender equity. She is based in Austin Texas, where she lives with her wife.
