Catesby Holmes became the editorial director at Rewire News Group in May 2025. Previously, she was a longtime editor at The Conversation, where she covered politics, global, and religion, among other beats. She also served as senior international editor at The Week, covering the world in each week’s magazine issue. Catesby began her editorial career as a fact-checker at Travel + Leisure magazine. A New Yorker by way of the South, Catesby lives in Brooklyn. She graduated from Wesleyan University and the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University.
