In the second installment of my coverage of From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building a Movement for Reproductive Freedom, a conference hosted by the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program (CLPP), I thought I'd focus on some incredible youth organizing that was a part of the conference.

In the second installment of my coverage of From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building a Movement for Reproductive Freedom, a conference hosted by the Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program (CLPP), I thought I'd focus on some incredible youth organizing that was a part of the conference.
CLPP is a small organization, and in order for a small organization to host such a large event, they need a ton of help. This weekend, I got the chance to chat with Lani Blechman, one of the student conference coordinators. Lani is a 3rd year student at Hampshire College and this is her second year coordinating CLPP's 50 person student group. The student group is what makes the conference possible and their input and dedication (and fab pink conference t-shirts) were integral in making the weekend as wonderful as it was. This group in general, and Lani in particular, is the perfect examples of the importance of involving youth activists in the movement for reproductive justice. Here's Lani:
