HB 86 would prohibit a physician or applicant of a medical license from performing an abortion unless it is necessary to avert the pregnant individual’s death or a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function, or, in the case of multiple “unborn children,” it is necessary to ensure that at least one “unborn child” is born alive and healthy.
A physician who violates this provision would have their medical license revoked.
