Full Bill Text
SB 276 would have allowed health-care professionals and institutions to refuse to provide prescriptions for contraceptives and abortifacients or participate in health-care services that violate their conscience, and would have immunized health-care professionals and institutions from civil and criminal liability based on their refusal to provide prescriptions or participate in health-care services that violate their conscience.
The bill would also have prevented any kind of discrimination against health-care professionals who refuse to participate in health-care services that violate their conscience.
STATUS
Died in Public Health and Welfare Committee. Companion bill to HB 383.
