Full Bill Text
HB 587 would prohibit a medical practitioner from performing or attempting to perform an abortion, including a chemically induced abortion, on a pregnant woman or prescribing abortion-inducing drugs except in the physical presence of the woman.
The first violation would be a misdemeanor. The second and subsequent violations would be a felony.
STATUS
This bill passed the House on March 17 and the Senate on April 9 but was vetoed by Gov. Bullock on April 29, 2015.
