Full Bill Text
SB 27 would amend physician reporting requirements for complications resulting from abortion. It would require any individual having knowledge that a woman suffered a complication as a result of an abortion to fill out a notice of compliance form to be developed by the Department of Health. The bill states that the notice of compliance form must be transmitted to the physician or health facility where the woman received treatment for the complication, to the physician who performed the abortion, and to the Department of Health.
The bill states that the form must contain a variety of information as detailed in the bill but may not contain any identifying information about the woman who obtained the abortion.
STATUS
Similar to SB 840, which failed to pass in 2014.
