Arizona Bill to Remove Restrictions on Medication Abortion (HB 2649)
This law was last updated on Feb 7, 2014
HB 2649 would have reinstated nurse practitioners’ and physician’s assistants’ ability to prescribe and administer abortion medication. The bill would also have removed the requirement that a physician (as opposed to a nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant) must fulfill the informed consent requirements enacted in HB 2036 and codified at A.R.S. § 36-2153.
