Jonathan Yglesias
Jonathan Yglesias, MS, is the Prevention Projects Coordinator for the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance. He worked for several years as a Program Coordinator for VCU’s Project to Reduce Violence Crimes against Women on Campus before coming to the Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance (Action Alliance) in 2010. At the Action Alliance, Jonathan serves as the Prevention Projects Coordinator and a member of the Prevention Team, providing training and technical assistance on violence prevention and a public health framework to primary prevention initiatives throughout Virginia in addition to coordinating RPE and Delta (CDC) funded goals for capacity building on the statewide and national levels. Jonathan is also a co-editor of the Moving Upstream Primary Prevention newsletter and has authored articles under review in the Society for the Study of Social Problems, American Sociological Association, and the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Social Services. In his spare time, Jonathan is a local advocate for social justice organizations (including the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project), an active foodie, and an avid fiction reader living in Richmond, Virginia.
