Dr. Carlos Laudari
Dr. Carlos Laudari is Pathfinder International’s Senior Technical Advisor in HIV Prevention and Local Capacity Development. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field of international health. He is an expert in program design, management, and monitoring and evaluation. He has extensive experience with sexual and reproductive health programs, having worked as UNFPA Chief Technical Adviser on SRH for the government of Angola during the period 1985-1995. He is also an expert in the area of marginalized and at risk populations who are vulnerable to HIV infection, with special emphasis on the design, implementation, and evaluation of interventions focusing on STI/HIV prevention for sex workers, men who have sex with men, and drug users. His proficiency in these areas has led him to be regularly invited to provide technical assistance to the Brazilian National Association of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders (ABGLT) and the Brazilian Network of Prostitutes (RBP), two of the most influential HIV/AIDS networks in Latin America. He is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University, NY.
