Dr. Carolyn Sufrin

Dr. Carolyn Sufrin is an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and incoming Leadership Training Academy Fellow with Physicians for Reproductive Health. Dr. Sufrin has provided OB-GYN care to women in jail, conducted research, and done advocacy work in this area. Her current research involves collecting national statistics on pregnancy outcomes for women in custody. Her forthcoming book Jailcare: Finding the Safety Net for Women Behind Bars will be published in 2017.
