Rewire News Group is hiring a visionary Director of Social Media who will lead a social-first editorial strategy that engages our existing loyal audience and helps us reach new ones—including on new platforms. To be successful in this position, the Director of Social Media should be an ideas person who has a demonstrated background in social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) and audience development and can expertly identify and use analytics and insights to drive social media narratives and conversations. The candidate should be a voracious news consumer and expert in social media best practices who is tuned into conversations happening on all platforms, and lead a social media team that can successfully capitalize on breaking news moments and execute platform and organizational goals.
