Kelly Rand
Kelly Rand is the Population & Environment Policy Coordinator in the International Affairs Department for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).
She is responsible for implementing the Population & Environment Program's legislative agenda; working with Congress, partnering agencies and activists to increase funding for international family planning and ensuring that U.S. foreign policy is "green."
Ms. Rand has focused her career on population and environmental issues and their connections. Previous to her work as a Policy Coordinator she worked for Population Connection as a Field Organizer where Ms. Rand oversaw the District Activist Network, a group of elite grassroots activists who educate and advocate on population issues on the local level. She also has had previous experience with NWF's Population & Environment Program as an intern with the program. During her time as an intern for the Population & Environment Program, Ms. Rand worked on advocacy, organizing and managed the Program's Fast Action Network.
Prior to her focused work on population and the environment Ms. Rand was responsible for community education, outreach and the organization of activists around reproductive health and rights for Planned Parenthood of Georgia in Savannah. Ms. Rand holds a bachelors degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
