Recently, a barrage of ethical and journalistic questions were directed at Rolling Stone after it issued a correction to Sabrina Rubin Erdely’s November report on a sexual assault claim at the University of Virginia campus. MSNBC’s Irin Carmon is joined by Katie Baker, a reporter at BuzzFeed, Lauren Wolfe, director of the Women Under Siege project, and Salamishah Tillet, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and a survivor advocate, to discuss the issues in that case and also how journalists and the media alike can do better when reporting on sexual assault.
