“World Youth Day” in Madrid, Pope Benedict will forgive women who had abortions rather than excommunicating them from the Catholic church, as is the traditional (read: prejudiced/patriarchal) post-abortion protocol. In order to be “forgiven” for their “sins,” women who had abortions will have to confess to having had abortions, admit to having taken an “innocent human life,” and appear truly sorry. More here.
