What to Expect When You’re Expecting — The Movie?

A movie about healthy diets and morning sickness?  I'm overjoyed...

I know when I think of the pregnant woman’s bible that is “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” my first thought is “Wow, that would make a fantastic romantic comedy.

But Hollywood apparently disagrees.  From the Daily Caller:

You can expect to see a lot of “Bad Teacher” star Cameron Diaz in the coming years.

The Californian, who was recently interviewed by Maxim, will join the cast of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” a comedy based on Heidi Murkoff’s bestselling how-to manual of the same name, reports Deadline.

“Black Swan” producers Arnie Messer and David Thwaites signed on for the flick, and Doug McKay will co-produce.

According to Deadline, the film aims to take a book that has sold more than 16 million copies and turn it into a picture similar to British romantic comedy “Love Actually,” where five couples experience the unexpected when a baby is on the way.

Well, at least is shouldn’t be much worse than “Look Who’s Talking, Too.”
