Finding non-foundational common ground
As an evangelical Christian I see human life defined by the incarnation of God in Christ Jesus.
As an evangelical Christian I see human life defined by the incarnation of God in Christ Jesus. According to scripture, this begins with the conception of Jesus in the womb of Mary. This is of course a theological basis which I would not expect all people to accept. I do not think their is a neutral foundation for defining the essence, beginning or end of human life. Some may not believe that human life begins at conception while others may agree that human life begins at conception for other philosophical or religious reasons. I am interested to know how others here define when a human life begins and when legal protection of that human life should be recognized.
