New Features Involving You at Rewire
Check out this Washington Post Editorial about the Wiki Revolution.
You've come to know Rewire for its daily dose of provocative perspective on policy as it affects sexual and reproductive health issues. Unafraid to take on the bad data and trumped up ideology of extremists, and featuring some of the best analysis and opinion from leaders throughout the policy field, Rewire is just getting warmed up!
Today we introduce RH Wiki, another opportunity for the community to take more ownership of this site and make it an up to the minute, content rich expression of progressive thinking on sexual and reproductive health issues. Our moderated RH Wiki allows registered users to submit changes to these sections of the website: About the Right, Policy Watch, Issue Briefs, and Glossary.

For example: you work for an organization that has just released a new report on a reproductive health issue. As a member of the Rewire community, you can go to the relevant Issue Brief and submit edits with a link to your report. Or maybe you've been keeping track of a notable organization on the far right that works against reproductive health. You can add key information about the far right organization and its activities in the About the Right section. Or there's a reproductive health term that you think should be defined for Rewire readers, so you add a new glossary entry. It's like extending your work and your website a little further into the blogosphere providing more opportunities for people to read it.
This is an opportunity for you to share your knowledge with the entire community of readers, collaborating with other reproductive health advocates to make Rewire an even better resource for everyone. Here is short primer on how to get started using RH Wiki today!
In addition to policy analysis and political persepctive, you've probably noticed that you can get your daily Kaiser Network News Feed in the lower right hand corner of our front page. Our new Glossary is also operational—those are the light orange links, such as "family planning" that provide definitions helpful to people just learning the issue. The light blue lines of course are links to other resources on the web.
We have other exciting new features coming soon to Rewire, including a new and improved design, more news features, increased international coverage from writers around the world, defined searches, increased video capibility and resources allowing us to link information on your web site with ours as a community hub. We're doing the work to provide a state-of-the art platform for your ideas and expertise—you keep doing the work of shaping public policy and educating people in the states and around the world about the importance of sexual and reproductive freedom. Our work will help connect your work with a growing audience looking for facts not fiction, reality not ideology, leadership not pandering. Thanks for reading and contributing, and growing this community resource with us!
