Full Bill Text
HB 1524 would have amended Virginia’s informed consent law (Va. Code § 18.2-76), to repeal the forced ultrasound requirement.
The bill would have also removed the requirement that a patient be provided a list of public and private agencies that provide ultrasound imaging for free.
STATUS
Left in Committee.
Companion bill to SB 733.
Similar to HB 1056, which failed to pass in 2014.
