Virginia Bill Prohibiting Employer Discrimination Regarding Reproductive Health Care (HB 2287)

HB 2287 would have prohibited an employer, regardless of their personal beliefs, from discriminating against an employee because of an employee’s reproductive health care decisions.
The bill would have prohibited employers from accessing personal information regarding reproductive health care decisions of any employee, or a dependent of any employee, without their written consent.
An employee would have been able to take action in court against any employer that took adverse action against the employee for their reproductive health care decisions.
