HB 1654 would prohibit any county or municipality from adopting or enforcing a local law, ordinance, resolution, rule or policy requiring any terms of employment that exceed or conflict with federal or state law relating to any form of employment leave, hiring practices, employment benefits, scheduling practices, or other terms of employment.
If passed, local measures enacted to protect LGBTQ workers from discrimination would be prohibited, and any such measure that existed prior would be null and void.
