Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers

Full Bill Text

HB 47 would prohibit a physician or applicant of a medical license from performing an abortion unless:

  • it is necessary to avert the pregnant person’s death or serious physical injury;
  • the abortion is to remove an ectopic pregnancy; or
  • in the case of multiple “unborn children,” it is necessary to ensure that at least one “unborn child” is born alive and healthy.

A physician who violates this provision would have their medical license revoked.
