Full Bill Text
SB 53 would amend eligibility requirements for participation in a state employee charitable campaign to prohibit charitable organizations from directly or indirectly facilitating the procurement of an “elective abortion.”
This would not apply to the termination of a pregnancy:
- that resulted from an act of rape or incest;
- for an individual who suffers from a physical disorder, disability, or illness, that places the individual in danger of death or serious injury; or
- that involves a fetus that has been determined to be incompatible with life outside the womb.
