Full Bill Text
SB 2078 would amend certain requirements related to school safety, including provisions related to the multi-hazard emergency operations plan, safety and security audits, and safety and security committees. It would also create a notification requirement for certain threats.
The bill would make open enrollment charters subject to school safety requirements in existing state law.
Restroom, Locker Room, and Changing Facilities
An amendment was added in the house which would require the provision of single-occupancy facilities for use by a student who does not wish to use the facilities designated for use or commonly used by persons of the student’s biological sex.
