Full Bill Text
HB 2899 would prohibit local political subdivisions from enacting any measures meant to protect a class of persons from discrimination, or reduce or expand a class of persons protected under state law from discrimination.
Any order, ordinance, or other measure that is adopted by a political subdivision prior to this bill becoming law would be considered null and void.
If passed, local measures enacted to protect LGBTQ people would be prohibited, and any such measure that existed prior would be null and void.
