Full Bill Text
SB 2275 would define the terms husband, wife, male, and female for purposes of governmental records and public filings of the office of vital records.
The bill would define “husband” to mean a natural-born male as defined by the person’s original birth certificate.
The bill would define “wife” to mean a natural-born female as defined by the person’s original birth certificate.
The bill would define “male” as a natural-born male and “female” as a natural-born female as noted on the person’s original birth certificate.
The bill specifies that any document presented for filing with the office of vital records that does not conform to the definitions above would be considered void.
