Full Bill Text
HB 1758 would prohibit abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy except to preserve the life and health of the mother.
The bill would amend TCA Section 39-15-201(c)(2) by deleting the language “After three (3) months, but before the viability of the fetus,” and substituting instead the language “After three (3) months, but before twenty (20) weeks of pregnancy or viability of the fetus.”
The bill would amend TCA Section 39-15-201(c)(3) by deleting the language “During viability of the fetus” and substituting instead the language “After twenty weeks of pregnancy or during viability of the fetus.”
