H.R. 5275 would make it unlawful under federal law for a state or local government to enact or enforce a policy regarding the use of sex-segregated bathrooms or locker rooms of educational institutions on the basis of gender identity.
The bill would prohibit the reduction or denial of federal financial assistance on the basis that a state or local government enacts or enforces such a policy.
