Full Bill Text
HB 1371 would amend the Oklahoma Religious Freedom Act by making it clear that the government has no compelling interest in forcing anyone to “participate in any marriage ceremony, celebration, or other related activity or to provide items or services for such purposes against the person’s religious beliefs.”
The bill defines “person” to mean a natural or judicial person or any unincorporated nonprofit or for-profit association.
If passed, discrimination against same-sex couples by religious wedding vendors would be protected under the law.
