Full Bill Text
SB 487 would prohibit the state from requiring any individual or religious entity to do any of the following, if it would be contrary to the sincerely held religious beliefs of the individual or religious entity regarding sex or gender:
- Provide any services, accommodations, facilities, goods or privileges related to conducting any marriage, domestic partnership, civil union or similar arrangement;
- Solemnize any marriage, domestic partnership, civil union or similar arrangement; or
- Treat any marriage, domestic partnership, civil union or similar arrangement as valid.
The bill would prohibit any person who has authority to take, direct others to take, recommend or approve any personnel action from taking any personnel disciplinary action with respect to any employee that invokes the protections of this provision.
