Full Bill Text
HB 3044 would prohibits certain classes of school employees from providing information about human sexuality to a student under eighteen without giving prior notice to the parent or guardian, and it prohibits them from referring a student to an individual, organization or entity that is not under the control of the district.
If passed, the bill would prohibit school therapists from counseling LGBTQ students unless they notified their parents first, potentially outing the student to their parents.
