Oklahoma Bill Criminalizing Legal Abortion (HB 2516)
This law was last updated on Jun 29, 2016
HB 2516 would amend current Oklahoma law regarding the definition of homicide.
Oklahoma law defines “homicide” as the killing of one human being by another. This law also considers “unborn children” as human beings.
Current law prohibits an act being considered a “homicide” if it is an act committed during a legal abortion to which the pregnant patient consented. This bill would remove that exception.
