Full Bill Text
SB 214 would block state funding for Planned Parenthood and other family planning clinics.
The legislation redirects public funds obtained through the Violence Against Women Act and the Breast and Cervical Cancer Mortality Prevention Act (among other initiatives) to health centers, departments, or clinics that do not:
- Perform or promote abortions;
- Contract with facilities that do; or
- Become or continue to be an affiliate of any entity that performs or promotes abortion.
The bill also prohibits “materials” received form the infertility prevention project from being distributed to entities that perform or promote abortions, contract, or affiliate with, entities that perform or promote abortions.
