Full Bill Text
HB 562 would increase the penalty for second degree trespass to a Class 1 misdemeanor if the offense occurs in a multi-occupancy bathroom, shower, or changing facility.
If passed, transgender individuals may be criminalized for using public accommodations in accordance with their gender identity.
Related Legislation
Companion bill to SB 668.
This bill was introduced only a week after a provision in HB 2 was repealed. The provision had prohibited transgender individuals from using public accommodations in accordance with their gender identity.
