HB 124 would repeal the patient safety zone law—passed in 2014—which allows for a 25-foot buffer zone around clinics that provide abortion services to protect patients from anti-choice activity.

The bill claims the statute would cause the state to expend considerable sums defending a law which the U.S. Supreme Court may find unconstitutional and which “has served no public purpose.”
