Full Bill Text
HB 1502 would have required the department of health and human services to keep an annual statistical report of each abortion performed. The report would have been submitted to the general court and made available to the public.
The bill would have required reports to be completed and submitted by the licensed facility or abortion provider within 5 days of the procedure. Information obtained by the Department would only be used for statistical purposes and would not permit identification of the person for whom the procedure was performed.
Any violation would have resulted in a class A misdemeanor.
STATUS
Was referred for an interim study where it was recommended for future legislation (died in chamber).
