SB 331 would prohibit Medicaid from paying for sex reassignment drugs, hormone therapy, or surgery.
The bill claims that extending coverage for “these elective cosmetic surgeries” would dramatically increase the cost of the program.
The bill further claims that such public funding may violate the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire regarding rights of conscience and religious liberty.
