SCR 16 is a concurrent resolution declaring that Missouri tax dollars should not be spent in New York—or any other state—that demonstrates disregard and contempt for the “unborn.” The resolution goes on to ask the governor to order all departments to cease from taking part in any non-emergency activity or event in New York.
SCR 16 declares that Missouri will boycott events hosted by such states until they repeal legislation that “fails to preserve and protect the life of the unborn.”
The resolution is in response to the state of New York enacting the “Reproductive Health Act,” which removed abortion from the state’s criminal code and codified Roe v. Wade into New York State law.
