HB 420 would waive the geographical proximity requirements for an assistant physician, registered professional nurse, or physician assistant who is providing care to a client of an alternatives to abortion agency.
Current state law requires an assistant physician, advances practice registered nurse, or physician assistant in a collaborative practice arrangement to maintain a 75 mile geographic proximity with their collaborating physician. This bill eliminates this requirement when providing care to a client of an alternative to abortion agency.
