Missouri Bill Regarding Duty to Fill Contraceptive Prescriptions (HB 1528)
This law was last updated on May 5, 2015
HB 1528 would have required a pharmacy to fill a valid and lawful prescription for any FDA-approved drug or device to prevent pregnancy, including emergency contraceptives, without delay.
The bill would have required pharmacies to treat each customer in a non-judgmental manner and ensure that each customer is not subjected to indignity, humiliation, breaches of confidentiality, or pressure to fill or not to fill the prescription.
Similar to HB 518 which failed to pass in 2013.
