SR 27 is a resolution rejecting the policies contained in New York’s Reproductive Health Act, supporting President Trump’s call for an end to “late-term” abortions, and encouraging the U.S. Congress to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
The resolution claims the RHA:
[…]will allow abortions to occur virtually up to the time of natural birth and allow non-physicians to perform abortions.
The resolution is in response to the state of New York enacting the “Reproductive Health Act,” which removed abortion from the state’s criminal code and codified Roe v. Wade into New York State law.
