HB 4218 would require health facilities and agencies that provide emergency or urgent care services to provide factually accurate written information about emergency contraception. Such facilities would be required to promptly offer female patients that are victims of criminal sexual conduct and of child-bearing age emergency contraception.
Health facilities or agencies that administer emergency contraception under this provision would need to annually report to the health department the number of times emergency contraception is administered to victims of criminal sexual conduct.
