HB 4787 would prohibit a person from coercing a female to have an abortion against her will. A person found guilty of coercion would face misdemeanor charges with a possibility of imprisonment and up to a $10,000 fine.
STATUS
Signed into law by Gov. Rick Snyder (R) on June 8, 2016. The law will go into effect on September 7, 2016.
