SB 63 would repeal Public Act 182 of 2013.
The “Rape Insurance” law, as it has become known, prohibits insurance plans in the state from covering abortion unless the woman’s life is in danger. Instead, women and employers need to purchase a separate abortion rider for coverage—even in cases of rape or incest.
STATUS
Similar to HB 5697 which failed to pass in 2014.
