Maine Bill Expanding Coverage of Reproductive Health Care (LD 319)
This law was last updated on May 12, 2015
LD 319 would expand Medicaid coverage for reproductive health care and family planning services to any person whose individual income is equal to or below 209% of the federal poverty line.
The bill would allow low-income women access to health care services such as pregnancy prevention, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infection or cancer and access to contraception.
Similar to LD 1247, a bill that passed both the House and Senate during the 2013 session but was vetoed by Governor LePage.
