Full Bill Text
LD 1247 would have expanded Medicaid coverage to provide family planning services to individuals with incomes equal to or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
The bill would have ensured low-income or uninsured women and men access to health care services such as pregnancy prevention, treatment for STDs, birth control, annual exams, etc.
STATUS
The bill was passed by both the House and the Senate but was vetoed by Governor Lepage. The House failed to gather enough votes to override the veto.
