Full Bill Text
SB 212 would require abortion facilities to meet licensure standards equivalent to those required for ambulatory surgical centers, no later than January 1, 2017.
The bill would also require any facility that performs abortions to have a health care practitioner on staff who has admitting privileges at an acute care hospital within 50 miles of the abortion facility.
Any abortion facility that violates this provision would be fined up to $1,000 for each offense.
